The do-follow, or I-follow, movement has caused a resurge of blogs without the ‘nofollow’ link attribute applied to all comments. Since being introduced in 2005 by Google, the nofollow attribute is now added by default to any reader submitted links on many popular blog platforms. Removing the attribute is advocated by many bloggers.
Nofollow
Google introduced the nofollow attribute in 2005 to reduce the effectiveness of certain types of spam, thereby improving the quality of search engine results, and reducing spam in general. It was designed by Matt Cutts and Jason Shellen from Blogger.com webspam team. Its effect was described to remove the PageRank value of the link.
Different search engines treat links with nofollow differently. Google does not count the link as a vote, or index the target page if previously not indexed. Officially Google does not even make a note of the existence of the target page. Yahoo! follows the link, and may index the page, but the link won’t give more value to the target. Other search engines may, or may not care about the attribute at all.
Some links have been tagged nofollow in Wikimedia software since the introduction in 2005, but site wide adding of nofollow to all external links in the English language Wikipedia happened only in January 2007. Blogger included the attribute in comments and backlinks from early on. It was included by default in Wordpress comments from version 1.5 forward.
Do-Follow
Lately, especially after the introduction of nofollow to Wikipedia, nofollow has begun to be seen also as a negative thing. On blogs, commenting on other blogs has always been a way to market one’s own blog, and after the introduction of nofollow, this has been less effective. Some bloggers claim that they now see a higher amount of spam comments, allegedly because to get the same effect spammers need to spam more.
Before nofollow those who comment regularly on a blog would also get many backlinks for free. Now that most blogs are nofollow, there is less reason to become a regular, or to comment at all. The do-follow movement consists of bloggers, who wish to reward, and encourage commenting by giving back comments their backlink value.
How to Join
On Wordpress blogs there are many plugins for removing the attribute. Some plugins offer extra features, like nofollow for first time comments, or nofollow for old comments. The customizable nature of Wordpress templates, and plugins has brought many solutions to this problem. The most popular of the plugins can be found with a Google search for ‘do-follow Wordpress’.
If you have a Blogger blog, making it do-follow is as easy as removing each occurrence of “rel=’nofollow’” in the template. The template can be modified from ‘Blogger Dashboard’, under ‘Template’ - ‘Edit HTML’. The ‘Expand Widget Templates’ checkbox has to be checked to see the posts section of the code.
After you have removed nofollow from your blog comments, remember to tell it to your readers. When they know they are rewarded for their commenting, they are more likely to share their thoughts. They might even bookmark your blog, and return again. All this simply because you can make them fell their opinions are valued.

1. Research your car - Find details about the 3 favourite choices, car brochures, photographs etc. The internet is great for this - start in google and type the car including the model your looking for. In the end its good to have an ideal car and then a backup choice.
2. Research Prices - Use sites like Wheels-Near-U to find a similar car locally to that of your first and backup choice, check out the vehicle price for what condition etc. You can also use car valuations like glasses and parkers. These are free for a basic assesment of your car.
3. Read car guides - Again Wheels-Near-U is a good start, it has a great amount of guides surround car buying, selling, insurance and personal plates.
That was the top 3 tips for buying a car in wales - I hope you found them informative!

Google uses the PageRank algorithm to rank pages in their search engine results. The algorithm is based on analysing link structures: each link can be seen as a vote by a page for another page it links to. It is necessary to have a basic understanding of how PageRank works to be able to optimize web sites for the Google search engine .
History of PageRank
PageRank was invented by Larry Page at Stanford University, and named after him. Page began the project in 1995, and worked on it with Sergey Brin. The project then lead to the prototype Google in 1998. Google Inc. was founded to manage the Google search engine, which used PageRank. Currently the trademark PageRank belongs to Google Inc., but the original patent for the PageRank algorithm is assigned to Stanford University.
Google has since grown to the largest search engine in the world, with nearly two thirds of searches made on Google. The PageRank algorithm is still one of the factors taken into account in Google’s search engine result ranking, and it is constantly followed by interested search engine marketing specialists around the world.
The PageRank Algorithm
A good analogy for the PageRank algorithm is that each link is a vote for the target page. This link structure of the web is analyzed recursively, so that the value of each vote depends on the PageRank of the voting page, calculated from the votes in the previous iteration of PageRank.
When a new page comes into being in this link structure, it will only get a PageRank value once other pages link to it. Each link will give some PageRank to the new page, the amount a single link gives depending mostly on two things: the PageRank of the linking page, and the number of links on it. The more outbound links a page has, the less weight each of them will have.
The actual algorithm used by Google is, naturally, more complicated then this. That algorithm also takes into account page topics. Pages with the same, or related topic that link to each other will carry more weight with their links than completely different pages that link to each other.
It is thought that raw PageRank data exists as a floating point number for each page. These real time values are constantly updated by Google crawlers. The visible PageRank value that can be seen on the Google Toolbar is on a scale from zero to ten. This is exported from the real time PR data approximately once every three months. On Google Directory the PageRank is reported as an eight unit measure, which is also periodically compiled from the real time data, though less often than the toolbar PageRank is.
In Conclusion
The voting analogy describes the PageRank algorithm fairly well, but, though Google may claim so, it is not a completely democratic system. The weight of each link depends both on the PageRank of the page linking and the number of links it has. To improve PageRank, more inbound links, preferably from pages with high PageRank, must be acquired.

Referral programs are a brilliant viral marketing strategy because of their explosive growth potential. There are many kinds of referral programs, but they all are systems of benefits for service users that recruit new users. The benefits are sometimes cash, or commissions, sometimes account upgrades.
The explosive growth comes from the fact that each referred user may become a referrer himself. Assuming just five active users are referred by each user, a single user will end up recruiting 3905 users (five to the power of five) after five levels.
Referral Programs as a Marketing Strategy
Exponential growth is a good reason to create a referral program to market a service. The potential to grow is so enormous that everyone should at least try it. This is also a form of viral marketing, since users are doing the actual marketing work. The advertiser does not need to do anything once the ball gets rolling.
The important thing to keep in mind, when launching a new referral program is that most of the users should be of the type that will refer others. This is effectively used in the Get Paid To market, where users, who are trying to earn money online, are likely to try the referral program to add to their revenue.
Another related issue is that the program needs to have enough incentive. If the gains are not high enough, the referral program will not get enough attention. Ways to make it more appealing without risking too much money include adding multiple referral levels, and giving a percentage commission from recurring sales. The potential gain for the referrer is so much higher for these kinds of programs that they are very likely to get noticed.
Potential for Referring
If you have a large network of online contacts, referral programs are a good way to monetize it. When recruiting other it is important to have a good idea of the service through using it yourself first. Then an honest review of it may convert long term users.
The programs to choose are the ones, which offer multiple levels of referral commission, because you also benefit from the exponential growth of the downline. Also those programs with recurring commission instead of a flat referral fee have more potential in the long run.
It is important to choose referral programs with the correct theme to market. If you are marketing them in your blog, or a website, choose ones that fit the theme. Otherwise readers will rarely be interested. It is important to use all channels at your disposal, when you market a program. Don’t just stick with a blog post, but contact any email and IM contact that might be interested.

Affiliate marketing is a method of marketing products through affiliates, who earn a commission for each sale they provide. Affiliate marketing is connected with, and often used together with, other forms of internet marketing, including search engine marketing, pay per click advertising and email marketing. Affiliate programs use a cost per action (CPA) model, where nothing is paid for ad impressions of clicks, but actual leads and sales.
The Advertiser’s Side
Advertisers, who use affiliate marketing to get sales, often see affiliate marketing as a superior form of online marketing. The main reason for this is that affiliate marketing is completely performance driven. If one of the affiliates can provide no sales, he will not be paid anything. The advertiser only needs to pay some of the profit he makes. If done right, affiliate marketing ensures that advertising costs are always below real revenue, so every sale will make real profit.
Another benefit over other forms of marketing is that the costs to launch an affiliate marketing campaign are very low. If the advertiser wants to recruit very many affiliates, other forms of marketing may be necessary to market the affiliate program for potential affiliates. However, to launch a small campaign it may be enough to add the program to some free affiliate program directories.
The Affiliate’s Side
Mane affiliate programs are free to join, so they can easily be made profitable. Every sale from these programs is profit for the affiliate. Many programs exist, where the share of the affiliate is actually higher than 50% of the final price, so the potential to profit is huge. Some programs offer recurring payments, and can build into streams of residual income.
As compared to pay per click (PPC) advertising, affiliate programs are in many ways a better way to monetize a web site. Affiliate programs usually have no policy that forbids encouraging clicks, on the contrary: writing favorably of the product is encouraged and expected. The advertisement can also be more easily blended with content, since affiliate link are often included in articles about the topic.
Affiliate Directories
Affiliate directories act as a connection between advertisers and potential affiliates. Advertisers list their programs in the directory, and potential affiliates search the directory for affiliate programs that fit their web site theme.
There are many free directories to look into, but the most successful, and largest directories are paid, or take a commission. The most popular include ClickBank, Commission Junction, and ShareASale. These are used by thousands of advertisers and affiliates.

When I talk about car dealers, I largely group them into two polar separations. The big makes, citreon, bmw, audi garages come under the internal category similar to that of asda, tesco’s etc. In then continue to dump the rest, as I do with other mini supermarkets into a ‘miscellaneous crap’ pile. Its not that I don’t believe in independent retail, within the motor industry and the other retail markets, its just the simplest denominator.
The thing is to what extent is there ever going to be crossover? I doubt there was. Until these last few years I doubt there were hardly any new dealership garages opening up. I wonder how many new Audi Garages appeared? Probably 3 in the UK or something similar. Because I simply cant see the need for another, I see the bigger names as pretty much at saturation when it comes to garages. I can physically picture a porshe, audi, jaguar, citreon, renault, peugeot and diahatsu garage within say 5 miles - and I am sure theres more. I mean a 4×4 garage in hertfordshire!
Either way this I think is an example of how the industry is changing. The internet, Niches’, long tail theorys and more localised international hyperlocal solutions to things are all factors in this change, which although will probably not knock the big gears of the german manufacturers out of line, will certainly mean opening/changing a few garages from your local wheeler-dealer to a perodua or some other jungle born car manafacturers outpost!

Day care or child care are terms used to describe the care of a child during the day by a person other than the child’s parents or legal guardians, typically someone outside the child’s immediate family. In the United Kingdom and Australia the term child care is normally used. In America the term day care is used. Child care or day care is provided in nurseries or creches or by childminders caring for children in their own homes.
Babysitting is the occasional temporary care of a child during the absence of his or her parents. Child care or day care usually refers to ongoing care during specific periods, such as the parents’ time at work. Child care can also take on a more formal structure, with education, child development, discipline and even preschool falling into the fold of services.
Some childminders care for children from several families at the same time, either in their own home or in a specialized child care facility. Some employers provide nursery provision for their employees at or near the place of employment.
Child care in the child’s own home is traditionally provided by a nanny or au pair.
Day care appeared in France about 1840, and was recognized by the French government in 1869. Originating in Europe in the late 18th and early 19th century, day cares were established in the United States by private charities in the 1850s, the first being the New York Day Nursery in 1854.
