Milton Keynes, Wednesday 1 June, 2005 - SAINT, the Brussels based Rock/Pop band are pleased to announce that they will be playing two gigs on the same day near Milton Keynes on Sunday June 12th 2005.
Following on from the successful launch of their debut album “Bones & Telephones” and recent appearances in Brussels, Barcelona, London, Dublin and Amsterdam, Saint have confirmed they will be appearing FREE at Folk-on-the-Green in Stony Stratford at 2.15pm on Sunday 12th June.
This appearance will be followed by a performance of their debut album, “Bones and Telephones” as part of ‘Stony Live’ on the same day at the Cock Hotel Marquee Suite, Stony Stratford from 8.00pm (tickets available from Andante Blues, High Street, Stony Stratford, price £4.00).
Saint lead singer, Steve Jones said “Saint are really excited about playing at both major events in the Milton Keynes music calendar on the same day. Folk-on-the-Green is always a great event and the opportunity to debut “Bones and Telephones” during Stony Live should make for a fantastic gig”.
Saint, comprising of Steve on vocals & guitar, Laurent on lead guitar, Philou on bass guitar & Oli on Drums are all highly accomplished musicians. To give the new listener a hint to the style of music that Saint play, imagine a blend of Radiohead and Coldplay with Placebo and U2 that results in the creation of both powerful and touching songs.
Fans of Saint and Saint newcomers alike will be pleased to know that several tracks from “Bones and Telephones” plus other well known Saint tracks can be heard at their website, www.saint.be
Saint have been playing several major European cities with its brand of melodic pop/rock for sometime and have now developed a considerable following in their home town of Brussels following the release of their debut album “Bones & Telephones”. Appearances on Belgian TV and Radio have also swelled the band’s following.
The last two years have seen the band set up their own recording and publishing label in order to penetrate the increasingly closed music market.
As a result, Saint have been able to release their debut album – “Bones and Telephones” (available at www.soundoo.com, price £10.00) and regularly pack out venues in their base city of Brussels, but also in Spain, United Kingdom, Ireland and Holland.
Using a confluence of personal life experience, belief and viewpoint, with good music so as to make a connection with like-minded audiences, is the over-riding ethos driving Saints’ creative process.
Saint invites all music listeners to be a part of their voyage.

Home and auto insurance almost seem inseparable. They go hand in hand and they should be purchased together. There are too many advantages of having your auto and home insurance with the same company. These two insurance purchases are the backbone of your property and casualty insurance portfolio and so it behooves you to pursue the market place for the right insurance company. Everyone has a preference on how they want to do business. There are a lot of folks that like to shop for insurance online but want an agent. The online shopping is convenient at the beginning but these folks want a servicing agent at the end of the process. There are those folks that want to eliminate the agent altogether and are perfectly satisfied with doing business online or over the telephone with a customer service representative. These philosophies need to be ironed out before you shop for a new carrier.
The multiple policy discounts is the main reason that you shop for both auto and home insurance with one company. There are other factors involved with having the two with one company. The insurance company gives the discount because it creates retention and retention means profitability. Insurance companies usually begin to profit from a policy holder in and around the sixth or seventh year. They view the multi-policy customer more favorably during the underwriting process at purchase. They will often accept an auto accident or two if the two policies are combined. You may also find that it is much easier to purchase a personal umbrella liability policy if both auto and home insurance are with the same company. There are specific limits required on both auto and home insurance in order to purchase the umbrella policy.
The next time you purchase auto or home insurance make sure that you combine the two in the quoting process. You may leave your self vulnerable for cancellation if you have a mono-line auto policy with one company and a mono-line home policy with another.

The internet and world wide web are the wonders of the century, and eBay is one of the marvels to spring from it.
However, like all good things there is a downside, and that is it provides a fertile ground for fraud and deceit.
Fraud on the internet borders on being out of control and about 65% of reported fraud emanates from eBay.
I’ve been a user of eBay, mostly as a buyer but with a small amount of selling experience, for six years and generally my personal experiences have been positive.
But I have had a couple of bad experiences, one serious, and I am a student of the subject of fraud, due to the subject of my web site.
Ebay and it’s sister organization Paypal do a lot passively to assist users, in their tutorials, but I feel they are not pro-active enough.
For one thing eBay downplays the problem and quotes very low percentage figures for fraud. The problem is that the volume on eBay is so immense that one tenth of one percent represents many millions of dollars.
Another factor is that they have provision on their web site for reporting scams but they discourage it’s use. If anyone posts anything too sensitive they are knocked off.
This is somewhat understandable but as a consequence they have encouraged people to publish anti-eBay web sites. They should wake up and “Smell the Coffee”.
They are also encouraging more than normal competition, much of it not as desirable as we’d like it to be.
This problem goes far beyond just eBay it’s affecting all internet business.
Internet business only represents about 4% of the total and should grow at a tremendous rate. The potential is beyond the imagination. There are many advantages to internet marketing and financial advantages are passed on to the consumer.
This constant well published barrage of complaints is inhibiting the growth of buying on the internet. Many of my acquaintances will not buy on the internet because they fear being ripped-off, and they have good reason to be fearful.
This is not meant to denigrate eBay but is meant as a “Heads Up “. eBay certainly has the financial means and the talent to mount an aggressive campaign to control fraud and they should do it and soon.
They don’t even prevent fraud in their own back yard. One example is to do with shipping charges. Many dealers pad their shipping charges to compensate for eBay and Paypal fees, because their profit margins are thin.
But I’ve seen a selling price of 99 cents for a new computer with $420.00 in shipping and handling. This is outright fraud.
I figure if a seller will cheat eBay they’ll certainly cheat me.
I believe lowering their overall fees and assessing them on the total sale would put a stop to this abuse. It would benefit honest sellers as well as buyers. Also in this case if I had to get a refund I would get 99cents back. Give me a break!!!

In menopause, a woman’s ovaries stop producing the “female” hormones estrogen and progesterone. Levels of the “male” hormone testosterone fall more gradually, so that a woman in her 40s has only about half the testosterone she had in her 20s. These hormonal shifts can add up to a loss of sexual desire, or vaginal dryness that makes sexual intercourse an ordeal. Some women get relief from hormone creams, pills, or other preparations, including the following:
Bioidentical hormones
What they are: Plant-derived hormones with the same molecular structure as the hormones secreted by the body.
What they do: Ease vaginal dryness and boost libido (and relieve other menopausal symptoms).
Prescription required? Yes.
Risks: Long-term use of bioidentical hormones has not been well researched.
Estrogen
What they are: Vaginal creams (Estrace Cream, Premarin Cream), vaginal rings (Estring, Femring), and vaginal tablets (Vagifem) containing estrogen.
What they do: Makes sex more comfortable by building estrogen levels in the vagina to thicken vaginal tissue and increase natural moisture.
Prescription required? Yes
Risks: Estrogen may affect breast and uterine health. However, with these preparations, little estrogen should be absorbed into the bloodstream, especially as treatment progresses and vaginal tissue thickens.
Hormone replacement therapy (HRT)
What they are: In women who haven’t had a hysterectomy, estrogen plus progestin in pill form. In women who have had a hysterectomy, estrogen alone in pill form.
What they do: Relieve hot flashes and other menopausal symptoms, including vaginal dryness.
Prescription required? Yes
Risks: The Women’s Health Initiative, a large study funded by the U.S. government, found that long-term use of HRT increased the risk for stroke and other serious illnesses. For complete study results, go to: www.nhlbi.nih.gov/whi/. Most doctors recommend that women who use HRT take the lowest dose for the shortest period of time.
Testosterone
What they are: Creams and gels compounded by a pharmacist; the FDA recently determined that an experimental patch (Intrinsa) made by Procter & Gamble needed further study.
What they do: Increase sexual desire. Prescription required? Yes Risks: Can cause a woman’s voice to deepen and facial hair to grow.
BOTTOM LINE: If you’re considering using hormones, talk to your doctor about the benefits and risks for someone with your health profile.
